Life is worth capturing!

Where it all began

I have been a videomaker for more than 10 years and documenting is my passion.I cannot count how many times I have lost that meaningful take that could have boosted my story with nitro.It is all about being invisible in front of your subject, almost impossible to do it with a camera. As soon as you point your lens towards him/her, an immediate shift in the behavior happens.That's the reason why I have been dreaming about a tiny device capturing life’s textures so often lost between the recorder and the scene.

A New Experience of Flavor

Coffee tastes have changed so much that I remember around 2012, introducing a much more acidic coffee into our blend thinking we were going to lead customers into a new experience of flavour, only to be dismayed on day one with customer’s dissatisfaction with a fruitier and more flavourful coffee. Coffee is after all the seed of a fruit. From then on, we began to work at a gradual pace, turning up the brightness a little, season after season. Today we can proudly craft a coffee with notes of lemon meringue, strawberry or passionfruit and find people on all sides of the counter are learning and developing their pallets.

Audio is the key

This device should have gravitated around the audio constellation because only audio can capture our feelings and it can camouflage better than any camera.Close your eyes and listen what is happening around you. Maybe you are at the airport. You will hear people telling their stories, things moving, coffee machines, now it gets quiet and than loud.Everything is full of textures and nuances in the sound world.Now imagine to have a device that you place wherever you need and it captures your story as natural as it is.Instamic would like to be that device for you.

A crowdfunding success

We spent a year of savings, sweet and risk to develop the first Instamic's prototype. There was the feeling that something good was coming out, but we couldn't make it alone. We needed to find support from the community of storytellers.


We launched our Indiegogo campaign and raised 500.000$ in total. We could have never imagined getting so far.


We have been so lucky to have an amazing community of backers who trusted us through all our struggles and achievements. Gratefulness is a small word in this case.


And the most important thing is seeing how much our backers are loving their Instamic. That is the biggest reward.
